Our packing list for camping at Geronimo Festival 2017

Geronimo Camping checklist

It feels good to have something to look forward to which gives us time to spend together as a family. This weekend we’re heading up to Arley Hall in Cheshire for the Geronimo Festival. I’ve been curbing my excitement by making lists. And of course, the all important packing list for camping – it’s been a while.

I don’t think we went camping as a family last summer. Mr J, an avid camper, just seemed to have a bad year. Fortunately it was just a blip. We’ve already had camping nights in the garden this year and now everyone is excited for our first camping trip of 2017.

So, I have to reminisce back to 2015 when trying to remember what to pack. But looking back, all I remember is the fantastic views of the Gower.Overlooking Oxwich BayBut looking at these photos I’m thinking packing the windbreakers might be a good idea. I know Geronimo has a barbecue space, but I’m not sure what we’ll do given there’s no electricity so we won’t have a fridge. There is a shop on site, so maybe should think about it?Camping fun at Oxwich BayBecause of course, we’re off to Geronimo. Which will be a completely different camping experience to all which has gone before. This time we’re also having to decide our ‘must-do’s’ in terms of the festival itself.

There is also the thought that we won’t have electricity, and the site and festival don’t allow glass bottles, etc. so it’s taken a little more time to put a grocery shopping list together.

We’ll be having breakfasts of pastries and cereal bars, rather than bowls of cereal with milk. We might have soup and bread or tinned food as our supper. But this is ok, I’ve heard of so many fantastic food vendors who’ll be at Geronimo that I think we might stock up on snacks and make the most of the meals the festival has to offer.Geronimo Festival 2017

Using my Bullet Journal to put together a camping checklist was of course a joy. Especially as I’ve stocked up on some fab washi-tape.

What I liked most about putting this list together is of course it’s based on all the things we’ve forgotten on camping trips in the past- washing up liquid, tin openers and a hair brush- really unhelpful when you’ve left them at home.Packing list for campingI’ve laid out all the clothes this evening. Mr J has sorted the storage box which fixes to the car roof.

And more than anything, I have to remember to not forget the tickets!

Disclosure: We have been invited to Geronimo 2017 to review the festival. I’m a little excited. All opinions and words contained are my own.

I’m bookmarking this – we are off on our first “camping” (staying in a hut) trips this summer and I’m a bit clueless! Great list and photos.
