With a daughter who has leapt onto the whole slime, putty and goo trend I was fortunate to receive lots of brownie points this half term when the Glam Goo Deluxe Pack arrived for us to review.
CM has been obsessed with slime for the past few months, so the opportunity to spend some time playing with goo, creating an item which was completely CM was a perfect pastime. The Glam Goo Deluxe Pack comes with a generous pot of goo; Violet Vibes scent; colours – Electric Blue and Pinky Promise; sprinkles – Daydreams, Cloud Crunch and Unicorn Tears; along with a glitter bag and ring to house your creation.
Because this isn’t just slime to stretch and play, and return to the pot. This concept allows you to create your perfect slime- colour, appearance and smell are covered.
Fortunately CM was in the mood for sharing this half-term so the handbag creation became a team effort. And it was the opportunity to make each design unique in appearance, using the sections of the bag.
After an afternoon creating the perfect design, CM was ready to accessorise her outfit for a bowling party with her new bag.In terms of pros and cons. Like other craft focused bags CM’s had in the past, this is not a handbag per se. It doesn’t hold items, rather it’s a fashion accessory. This pack seems targeted at girls. It would be great to offer an alternative to someone who isn’t into clothing accessories. Maybe a Glam Goo pencil-case of tablet holder.
The deluxe kit retails at £29.99, which feels a little expensive. It is comparable to other craft based toys, and does offer more value than buying the same quantity of slime. Father Christmas can vouch for this.
It’s great from as a unique gift, is definitely something any child on the slime/ goo/ putty trend. The added benefit is it keeps a child focused for more than a few hours.
If CM was smiling about it, it’s definitely worth investing in. The Glam Goo Deluxe Pack retails at £29.99 and is available from a wide range of toy retailers
