It’s definitely jumper weather. It always takes me a few weeks to click back to what I wore last winter. I cling on to my summer wardrobe until my chattering teeth defeat me.
Reaching for the bottom drawer I find all of my favourite jumpers. Unlike my usual wardrobe of black, my winter wardrobe has a colour injection- anything to brighten the gloomy weather.
I was fortunate to receive the brand-new ACE for Colours power from Britmums. Along with the promise of removing powders and bringing coloured clothes back to life. And I was so glad it lived up to its pitch.
ACE for Colours Powder promised to help clothes last for longer. And whilst I can’t validate this. My view is that anything which helps keeps colours looking bright. Anything which can gently removes stains. These are things which will keep me wearing my clothes longer.

I tested it on my new jumper. I went for bright blue just because the gloom was weighing in. After a bake off with the children saw the food mixer splatter batter around the room, I was so glad my jumper came out of the wash looking like new after a wash with ACE for Colours.
My confidence grew, and I decided to test the powder on whites. Winter also means the boys’ school t-shirts have already been through the mill after six weeks at school. Not only are the boys shirts always covered in stains- from paints, pens, food and mud- but there’s always one which will end up in the wash with colours or blacks. Which means by the half-term the chances are six of twelve are off-colour.
I was really pleased with the results of throwing them in together with ACE for Colours. They came out looking a lot better than they went in- brighter and fresher.

So between us we’ve got clothes which make us look better this winter. And with the added sell that ACE for Colours Powder comes in a fully recyclable Tetra Pack. We live in an area which has recently enforced really strict recycling guidance. So I’m so glad I can put this in our (blue!) bag knowing it will be taken away.

November 27, 2019 at 18:27There is something about enjoying refreshed clothes on cosy cold days! I tried ACE for the first time last year and was so excited to have something that actually makes my clothes look better right out of the washer. Yes, actual excitement! 😉
