Whilst the summer has been a bit of a washout so far, we’ve been keeping ourselves busy with lots of indoor crafts and ‘making’. Whilst there have been many which have needed adult supervision, it’s always good to find activities which allow a little time to catch up on chores. CM was really excited to receive the Craft Time Mosaic My Pretty Journal to review. The Craft Time Mosaic My Pretty Journal is perfect for both stationery and craft lovers. Fortunately CM ticks both these boxes.
The kit was a lot more intuitive than I thought as each of the squares has an outline indicating the colour required. It’s also, fortunately, less messy than other mosaic kits we’ve had. All the squares are attached to a larger rectangle, meaning there’s no mess of the backing paper all over the place. The kit comes with lots of extra squares as well as a sheet of gems for further customisation. I really appreciated it, there’s nothing worse than a kit when you lose a piece or don’t actually have enough.
CM got stuck right in to create her journal. It was really simple, and great for seeing the effort pay off. The design itself creates a butterfly- a great metamorphosis! As for the journal itself, it’s a good quality lined notebook. Perfect for CM’s doodles and stories, she was quick to start customising it, which meant even more quiet time. The Craft Time Mosaic My Pretty Journal retails at around £9.99, which is a great value for a craft kit which does more than stay on a shelf.
The kit is ideal for children aged 3 and up. This makes it perfect for honing hand-eye co-ordination and fine motor skills. My only recommendation would be to see the kit in different designs- dinosaurs, cats and dogs would be perfect!
