Blaze & the Monster Machines: Blaze of Glory DVD

One of the things I’ve had to adjust to with B & E starting school is the things they are aware of which aren’t on my radar. The parts I accept easily are how much they learn from their teachers, the things which tax my brain a bit more are those that they learn from their friends.

Blaze and the Monster Machines came to light over Christmas, although admittedly for at least a week I thought they were saying Blade (to me, aka Wesley Snipes) and I was more than a little concerned.

But not, it seems Blade, his driver AJ, and his friends Crusher and Pickle have captured the boys imagination, and are part of the Nick Jr. family.

So there was more than a little excitement that B & E got to preview ‘Blaze and the Monster Machines: Blaze of Glory’ ahead of its release on DVD this Monday (14th March). With a running time of 60 minutes it’s perfect for their 5 year-old attention span, and perfect for mummy to watch with them (or use the opportunity to get some chores done!).Blaze and the Monster Machines - Blaze of Glory DVDBlaze is Axle City’s greatest hero, and champion of the racetrack, whenever there’s trouble, he is the truck everyone turns to for help as he can do things no other truck can. With Blazing Speed, special turbo powers and extraordinary knowledge, burst onto the scene with the fastest monster machine in town, and his driver AJ as they meet new friends, overcome Crusher’s dirty tricks, and use speedy stunts and science to save the day!

Blaze knows everything about science, technology, engineering and maths. With his human driver and best pal AJ, when Starla the cowgirl truck loses a piston, the duo need your help to use force and speed to get to it before Crusher gets his greedy tires on it!

The interactive adventure explores the physics of how things move, tackling problems and discovering the component parts needed to make every day technologies work.

And if your little ones are excited about the DVD release, or you’re looking for something to keep them busy over the Easter break, check out these activity sheets which they’re sure to enjoy.

Blaze and the Monster Machines: Blaze of Glory is out on DVD from 14th March 2016.
