Because it couldn’t be more so. Not only is it the start of the Easter Holidays for us, but Mary Poppins Returns is out on DVD. Practically perfect timing. It could be more so, but it’s swings and roundabouts.
I have a gorgeous new practically perfect umbrella which needs to be seen. The lovely people at Panetone gifted me Mary Poppins’s fantastic umbrella. And it’s been a huge hit for the children and me.
The replica of the umbrella which is instantly recognisably of the film is the perfect accompaniment to weather most associated with Wales. The parrot head is comfortable to hold and hangs well on the wall with my other umbrellas.
And whilst it is a perfectly functional umbrella, it is the handle which makes it stand-out. Whilst, yes, if I was designing my own it would be wooden handle, this is about a price-point which works and an overall design which lasts.
Accompanied by a push button function for the umbrella it really is practical and perfect in design.
And there is no mistaking this association. The umbrella boldly displays its Mary Poppins affiliation. Which, of course, if lost on you is just a reference to the person holding it. I’m sure.
This really is the perfect gift for any Mary Poppins fan. It looks and feels great quality. Which at a retail price of £24.99 it should. If you know me and my umbrellas, it’s all about the ones I have to hold at all times. Give me a telescopic umbrella and I either bury at the bottom of my bag it’s never used, or I use it and lose it.
I am becoming a collector of fantastic umbrellas, and as a lifelong Mary Poppins fan, I love this practically perfect addition.
The Mary Poppins Practically Perfect Umbrella is available from Paladone at £24.99 RRP.
I received the Practically Perfect Umbrella for the purpose of this review. All words and opinions are my own.
