Much of the excitement around my children’s parties centres on the cake and goody bags. For the boys’ Star Wars Birthday I decided these were the two elements I needed help on. Creating 50 Lightsaber invitations had identified how time-consuming a joint birthday party can become. For the birthday cake I found someone locally, and is on Facebook as Sweet Treats. There are some fantastic photographs of her work on her page to inspire. And, of course, the cake itself tastes absolutely delicious.
I decided to save time cutting cake at the party and ordered a smaller cake with extra cupcakes.
I absolutely loved the Lightsaber cupcakes which carried the Star Wars birthday theme through. The boys’ were over-the-moon with their cake, especially E whose eyes lit up when he saw Chewbacca. For the goody bags I was lucky enough to work with The Party Wiz. Lauren Robinson runs this fantastic business, its beauty is in the care and attention taken with each party.
The Party Wiz works with you to understand your needs and create unique party items. Offering to save time and provide cost-effective solutions, Lauren offers something any party organiser needs.
Knowing where the gaps were in my party plans, Lauren provided solutions. The boys’ got to take the most fantastic goody bags and the sweet toppers to their party.
Lauren’s creativity went beyond mine in creating a visually effective goody bag. Lauren asked about the design and the wording to create a unique offering.
This turned out to be a time-consuming exercise as the boys’ discussed and negotiated on their bags- eventually B went with BB-8 and E with Chewbacca. I’ve never thought of using tissue paper in bags before, but this seemingly insignificant addition really set the goody bags off as they all stood at the party ready to be proffered to our guests. I had already bought moulds for making chocolates so Lauren agreed to work with me on toppers for the bags rather than sweetie bags.
Again, Lauren asked all the right questions to make sure she created the perfect accompaniment, which were a massive hit on the day.If you’re organising a party and need help with having all the touches in place, I would recommend using The Party Wiz. Lauren’s website will definitely enthuse you, offering ideas from themes bags and boxes, to sweetie wands and cones.
The bags and boxes can all be customised to offer a unique party. Starting at £3.50- which includes five items matched to the child and age. This is definitely a cost-effective solution which will ensure a stress-free party for parents!
