Half term.
With the Legend of Gelert firmly ingrained in the minds of two Y1 children so we made our way to Castell Coch, we explored the Castle and the girls took the time to explain the legend to B&E, although the nursery in question belonged to Lord Bute rather than Llywelyn’s little boy. Poetic license when accompanied by so much enthusiasm is acceptable when you’re 5.
And then on to Techniquest, where I heard myself utter the memorable phrase “Get your head out of the smoke”, which I think as parental requests go is definitely one of my favourites.
A day to hold onto as CM approaches her 6th birthday.

March 29, 2015 at 19:27It is wrong for me to let on that I had CM’s best mate (who the boys are besotted by) stood next to me 😉 (Will have to take her out with me more often!).

February 28, 2015 at 07:26What an adventure!!! My husband often takes a LOT of poetic license, to the point that the eldest just doesn’t believe a word anymore. It’s funny the phrases we end up saying as parents isn’t it? These are great photos xxx #livingarrows
