Last week was dominated by ‘someone’ turning 6.
And to celebrate the last day of being 5 mum was ‘forced’ to finish work on time, (and with the fortune of working from home that day), jump in the car to enjoy the sunset.
It’s feels a long time since that evening six years ago, when I went to bed ‘thinking’ I was in early labour but it being so random as not to be.
For everything that happened over the course of 15 hours, to be holding a baby, for the first time, at 0954. Our daughter knew how to make an entrance.
To six years later, to have moved over 200 miles, back home (back to my home), three children, bringing up English children in Wales (and how proud am I that we have now been in Wales longer than they lived in England).
How fortunate are we? For CM’s first years, and B&E’s first months we lived surrounded by the Pennines, and now we wake every day to the coast.
That we are discovering, stretch by stretch, the Wales Coastal Path.
