In March CM will be 6.
She has been planning this as long as the boys were planning their 4th birthday party.
It will be a Twilight Sparkle, My Little Pony, “Making” party.
I think this has been on the cards since November.
We will be “making” tutu’s and heart-shaped boxes.
“Only girls allowed”.
There has been little lee-way on this.
Last night she decided she had been deprived at Christmas.
So, I suggested she write her list.
As she finished writing it, her dad arrived home. I suggested she would offer it to him.
“Oh no mummy, I’ll leave it on your desk. You’re the one who’ll make it happen.”
To be young and so wise.
And then I read it.
The dreaded ‘Fin Fun Mermaid Tail’.
She has bequeathed this for over a year. How can I refuse?
And then, this evening.
As her party will not be until after her birthday (due to the six nations!) I promised her birthday would involve her and her brothers having a trip to the ‘Build a Bear workshop’.
“Mummy, my brothers would much prefer a trip to Smyths than Build a Bear. And because I’ve written my list, I’m happy that we go to Smyths to share my birthday money than Build a Bear.”
My heart melted a little.
“Because, mummy, you’ve got my birthday list.”.
