Life shouldn’t be dominated by work.
So I will start at the beginning.
An absolutely awesome birthday party for CM, it worked, it was enjoyed, and I may have heard the words “Best party ever.”
Followed by enjoying Monday Afternoon Tea with the girls, a fab Groupon offer, and a wonderful way to while away the afternoon.
Two trips to London this week were rewarding, a chance to find a pace with work again.
Parents Evening for B & E, and great words spoken on their progress.
Going to the cinema with a friend for another amazing NT Live performance.
And today. A great day at work. So much achieved.
Today started with a conversation. It is over. A year’s worth of life with the ‘on hold’ button running, life has moved on. Life is ready to restart. There will be no more unease, no more reservations about what the future holds, it is back to being ours for the taking. And we can stand up to greet it now, with positivity and optimism, and with great plans.
There will be no more predicting negativity and sloping shoulders, there will be no more expecting mistrust. The team can rebuild, focus on its strengths, and be fantastic.
Within an hour of the call I was thinking of higher education again, picking up where I left off pre-children.
I was optimistic, I could envisage the reality of having time for me again.
I held myself back. Now it the time to look at the blank sheet.
To embrace the future. It is ours for the taking once again. And that should be embraced, appreciated, nurtured. Carefully.
