Study Wins, Joseph and Cake #LittleLoves

New notebook
This week I’ve really been feeling like I’ve completely lost any semblance of control, in fact it’s pretty much a common feeling of late. I keep thinking life is going to calm down. Study now and get it over with till September. But there’s so much more on the to-do list. Good things.
I  do need to start planning my thesis. But I also have the best plans for making over the boys bedroom. And I think we need to get a new kitchen sorted before the summer holidays – ambitious probably but I would like it before Christmas, and before the next academic year.

But it’s all going to be ok.

And to prove it, I got to start a new notebook this week – what could be better?

Not much other than journals again. I did read the thing which turned my week on its head. I passed my quantitative research methods module. The anticipation of the result was actually making me rethink whether I had made the right choice in returning to uni. But not only have I passed, but I haven’t eaten into my average. I managed to get a pass with leeway for future modules if I need it- but I genuinely think this is the worst module over with. (Now, if only I didn’t need the content so much in my thesis).

I’m still feeling the happy vibe of taking CM to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolored Dreamcoat earlier this week.

Following Joseph I’ve been revisiting all my favourite musicals soundtracks. It’s made me fall in love with Spotify a little bit more. And think about a list of all the musicals I need to see again or see for the first time.

This week was all about task avoidance so I managed to bake a salted caramel and banana bread. I suspect Monday will see another bake as I aim to complete the first part of my next assignment.Salted Caramel and Banana Bread

I’m about to sound so old. But I can’t believe the weather this week. I went to London yesterday and it was glorious, by the time I got back to Cardiff it was raining by the bucket load. I’m sticking with maxi-skirts for comfort and the lack of predictability. I’ve finally managed to find a couple more which I like. I was being to get concerned that colleagues thought I only had one set of clothes.

And lastly,

Tonight I send CM off for her first sleepover with Beavers. It’s long overdue in her eyes. Not mine.

The boys decided they’re not quite ready so they’re off to grandma’s for their sleepover.

How odd will Saturday morning be?

Loving those notebooks! Congratulations on passing your module, I bet it feels good to get that one out of the way if you didn’t particularly enjoy it.
Hope you had a lovely weekend xx

I loved Joseph when I saw it last year with the children, Joe Mc was perfect casting as Joseph, so many happy memories of that musical. Those notebooks are just perfect, I am a bit of a stationery fiend, where are they from? Super news about your studies, you seem to be juggling so much at the moment, hope you’re looking after yourself too.
